About the Role
The Senior Salesforce Administrator will play a central role in managing, improving, and scaling the internal Salesforce platform. Based in Chicago and reporting to the Director of Salesforce, this position supports both daily operations and long-term strategic initiatives. While user support and training are part of the role, the primary focus lies in collaborating with stakeholders and the Director to deliver effective, scalable solutions aligned with business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable Salesforce solutions in coordination with the Director of Salesforce
- Lead configuration tasks including Objects, Fields, Validation Rules, Flows, Custom Metadata, Approval Processes, and more
- Oversee Salesforce-related support tickets, identifying recurring issues and implementing lasting solutions
- Contribute to the Salesforce roadmap and ensure platform growth aligns with firm objectives
- Monitor system health, optimize performance, and ensure platform stability
- Manage and maintain user roles, permissions, profiles, and public groups
- Build and manage reports, dashboards, data imports/exports, backups, and integrity checks
- Support third-party integrations and manage AppExchange packages to increase platform capabilities
- Train users, manage onboarding/offboarding, and develop support materials
- Contribute to CRM migrations, data mapping, and system transitions
- Perform QA on team-built features to ensure high-quality delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator with advanced configuration skills
- Proficient in Sales Cloud, Opportunity Management, and CRM Analytics (CRMA)
- Strong project management abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with CRM migrations, data integration, and Change Sets
- Familiarity with SmartSheet and third-party tools like Conga Orchestrate, Nintex DocGen, Zoom, Box, Advisor360 is a plus
- Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and with vendors
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
