About the Role

The position is ideal for someone with a background in Salesforce development and a strong grasp of release processes. The main focus will be on managing and improving the deployment pipeline through GitHub and CI/CD tools. The role also involves active participation in development sprints, supporting the wider team when required. This position sits within a Salesforce team that is expanding in response to business-wide digital programs. Initiatives include Salesforce Org consolidation, CPQ, telephony integration, and other key enhancements to the Salesforce estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee version control and release procedures using Git
  • Create and manage release branches, maintain a clean commit history
  • Resolve merge conflicts and troubleshoot deployment issues
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Follow structured deployment processes and contribute to sprint activities
  • Draft deployment and implementation plans
  • Work closely with internal developers and cross-functional teams

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong proficiency with Git and GitHub, including advanced operations (merge, rebase, cherry-pick)
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and setting up automated deployment pipelines
  • Background in Salesforce development and release coordination
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile principles
  • Understanding of SDLC, APEX, and application/system architecture
  • Previous work with delivery models such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities
  • Practical problem-solving skills with experience resolving deployment issues
