About the Role
The Salesforce Architect at Avanos Medical will design and implement scalable, secure Salesforce solutions to meet business needs. The role involves building custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce, while also managing API integrations with third-party systems like SAP. The Architect will lead the development of Salesforce strategies across multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Data) and ensure performance optimization, security compliance, and adherence to DevOps best practices. Collaboration with stakeholders and leading the project lifecycle from discovery to deployment will also be key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Salesforce Architecture & Design:

- Design scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions to meet business objectives.
- Develop data models, security frameworks, and integration architectures.
- Establish multi-cloud Salesforce strategies across Sales, Service, Experience, and Data Cloud.
- Ensure compliance with security practices, governance policies, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee Salesforce development, enforcing best practices, coding standards, and DevOps methods.
Development & Customization:

- Build and maintain Apex classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce pages, and automation tools (Flows & Triggers).
- Customize Salesforce features and workflows to support business needs.
- Develop and deploy applications, reports, dashboards, and automated processes.
Integration & Data Management:

- Implement real-time and batch integrations with SAP and other third-party systems.
- Ensure smooth data exchange through middleware solutions and API management.
- Assess and resolve data quality issues, collaborating with third-party partners.
Security & Performance Optimization:

- Work closely with IT Security to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Optimize Salesforce performance and ensure system scalability.
DevOps & Deployment:

- Manage version control and streamline deployments with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee sandbox management, test scripts, and integration testing.
Collaboration & Leadership:

- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Lead a team of developers and administrators, mentoring them in best practices.
- Manage the end-to-end Salesforce project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in CRM, primarily focused on Salesforce architecture and implementation.
- Expertise in Salesforce clouds, including Sales, Service, Experience, and Data Cloud.
- Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, JavaScript, and Lightning Components (LWC).
- Strong project management skills, with experience in Salesforce implementations.
- Experience in API integrations, data modeling, and Salesforce security.
Preferred:
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II
- Additional certifications in Salesforce (Admin, App Builder, Integration Architecture Designer) are a plus.
