About the Role
The Engineering Manager will lead a talented team in delivering innovative Salesforce-based solutions within the Insurtech space. This role focuses on project execution, technical strategy, and team development while supporting the company’s scaling efforts. It involves overseeing the development of custom solutions, managing the software lifecycle, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee epic design phases and assign squads for implementation.
- Manage user story refinement, solution design, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead project scoping, sequencing, and scrum ceremonies.
- Monitor project risks and manage exceptions for customer-specific development.
- Track metrics for quality, automation, and team collaboration.
- Support resource planning and capacity management to ensure team productivity.
- Participate in design sessions and stay updated on Salesforce and product features.
- Align the team with the product vision, highlighting ROI for customer enhancements.
- Oversee QA processes, release management, and CI/CD pipelines for team-based development.
- Guide the professional growth of direct reports through development plans.
- Provide technical guidance and promote innovative problem-solving.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on efficiency and leadership.
- Offer mentorship and enforce best practices for development.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Salesforce implementation experience, with strong platform expertise.
- 5+ years of engineering team leadership, focusing on project delivery and quality.
- Proficiency in Salesforce development, enterprise architecture principles, and integrations.
- Expertise in Scrum methodologies and Jira project management.
- Strong people management and mentoring skills.
- Proven communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on delivering feedback and driving team culture improvements.
- A structured, problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach.
