About the Role
The Lead Salesforce Architect will oversee the technical design and strategic direction of the Salesforce platform. This includes defining system architecture, leading integrations, and setting development standards. The role involves close collaboration with enterprise architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and secure solutions that support long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage architecture for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and integrations
- Translate complex business requirements into reliable technical solutions
- Produce architecture diagrams, documentation, and design specifications
- Set technical standards and mentor developers, admins, and analysts
- Assess and recommend Salesforce-native and third-party solutions
- Align with internal architecture, data governance, and security policies
- Conduct technical reviews and support CI/CD practices within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Participate in stakeholder discussions and refine technical requirements
- Monitor Salesforce updates and assess business relevance
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with Salesforce, including 3+ years in an architecture role
- Proven background in designing and scaling enterprise-grade Salesforce implementations
- Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations (ERP, legacy apps, data lakes, etc.)
- Background in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
- Ability to guide technical teams and communicate across departments
- Experience consolidating multiple Salesforce orgs
- Agile/Scrum project experience
