About the Role
The Junior Salesforce Administrator plays a foundational role within the Technology Operations team, supporting the development and day-to-day functionality of the organization’s Salesforce platform. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in CRM administration and business systems. Under the mentorship of experienced administrators, the role involves handling user support, maintaining data quality, system configuration, training delivery, and supporting internal process enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and ensure Salesforce solutions meet evolving business needs
- Execute platform configuration tasks such as creating custom fields, flows, validation rules, and security settings
- Support data management processes, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) steps to maintain data accuracy and integrity
- Handle initial triage for support issues involving users, data, and access, escalating complex problems when necessary
- Assist in release testing and sandbox validation for new features and configurations
- Develop and manage reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders
- Create training materials, documentation, and deliver user training sessions
- Manage user accounts and permissions, including onboarding, deactivation, and updates to roles/profiles
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 1–2 years of experience in Salesforce administration or development
- Foundational knowledge of Salesforce tools, including object modeling, flows, and permission sets
- Comfortable using Excel and basic reporting tools
- Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) or Salesforce Business Analyst certification (not required but beneficial)
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning and user interface configuration
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations or third-party solutions via AppExchange
- Exposure to Agile project methodologies or collaborative tools
- Experience with data loading tools such as Salesforce Data Loader
