About the Role
The Salesforce Developer/Administrator will optimize, enhance, and maintain the Salesforce CRM platform to meet organizational needs. This role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions, building new features, automating workflows, troubleshooting issues, and improving system efficiency. The position is full-time and based at the corporate headquarters in Reston, VA, requiring candidates to be locally based or relocated by the start date.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into effective Salesforce implementations.
- Optimize current Salesforce configurations and develop new features.
- Participate in solution design and apply Salesforce best practices.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues within Salesforce.
- Improve processes and propose solutions using Salesforce capabilities.
- Estimate development efforts and follow established lifecycle processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of Salesforce configurations and solutions.
- Provide user support, including user setup, profile permissions, password resets, and basic reporting.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of Salesforce development experience.
- Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, VisualForce, and Lightning components.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, relational databases, and system design.
- Experience with custom coding and Salesforce architecture.
- Familiarity with business process analysis and CRM systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Developer Certification.
- Experience with cloud services and system integrations.
- Familiarity with API development best practices.
- Experience managing Salesforce Community Cloud sites.
