About the Role
Carrot is seeking a skilled and technically proficient Salesforce Developer to join the team. This newly created position will collaborate with internal groups to elevate the technical sophistication of the Salesforce environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of evolving Salesforce from a basic order system into a fully integrated enterprise platform. Expertise in Salesforce development and integrations, along with the ability to convert complex business needs into scalable technical solutions, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of all backend Salesforce components, including CI/CD pipelines, integrations, engineering standards, and administrative tasks
- Partner with Salesforce business analysts to develop best practices ensuring efficient and safe development
- Design, build, test, and deploy customized solutions on the Salesforce platform
- Manage technical Salesforce integrations with other business systems such as iPaaS, APIs, and data services
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications
- Create user-friendly interfaces to capture complex data into solid data models
- Apply and maintain best practices in Salesforce application development to ensure high-quality code
- Identify and resolve Salesforce-related functional and performance issues
- Keep up to date with Salesforce releases and innovations to maximize platform capabilities
Qualifications:
- 5 to 8 years of experience working as a Salesforce Developer
- Deep knowledge of software engineering principles applied in Salesforce environments
- Proven skills in custom development using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies
- Strong background in enterprise integrations including iPaaS, API, and data integration methods
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, ecosystem, and security practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration across functions
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Salesforce certifications like Platform Developer I or II are highly desirable
