About the Role
The Software Engineer II contributes to the development of scalable user experiences and service-based APIs. This position is part of a DevOps-based Agile team that handles the full product development cycle — from concept to delivery and ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance user-facing web and mobile interfaces from designer mockups.
- Develop and document API services in line with technical standards.
- Use test-first and criteria-driven development practices to deliver quality code.
- Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Stay current with development tools, frameworks, and industry techniques.
- Collaborate across teams including product managers, designers, and engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in software development or quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, SQL/T-SQL.
- Knowledge of development frameworks and tools (e.g., React, Angular, Git, VS Code).
- Background in Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
- Familiarity with cloud-based development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Azure certifications (Developer Associate or DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
