About the Role
Versapay is seeking a Salesforce Developer who excels both in hands-on development and business analysis. This hybrid technical and strategic position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about crafting clean, scalable Salesforce solutions while engaging directly with stakeholders to understand and solve real business challenges. The role involves a blend of development, support, collaboration, and continuous improvement of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and APIs aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including executives, to gather and translate requirements into actionable solutions
- Support core admin tasks such as page layouts, validation rules, permission sets, and user issue resolution
- Evaluate and recommend platform approaches—balancing custom code with native Salesforce features
- Refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt and enhance performance
- Work cross-functionally with Admins, Product Owners, and other business users to prioritize and deliver improvements
- Manage deployments using Salesforce DX, CLI, and Gearset with consistent testing and version control
- Build and support integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
- Create documentation and provide training to support platform adoption
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, and Flow Builder
- Experience configuring Salesforce with tools like custom metadata, page layouts, validation rules, and permission sets
- Familiarity with development tools including VS Code, Salesforce DX, and CLI
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes using tools such as Gearset, Bitbucket, or GitHub
- Proven ability to evaluate use cases and apply declarative vs. programmatic solutions appropriately
- Strong communication and analytical skills for bridging business and technical needs
- Comfortable managing projects independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of Salesforce development experience in a professional setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or equivalent experience
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external platforms
- Background supporting cross-functional teams across Sales, Customer Success, and Operations
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required)
- Salesforce Administrator or App Builder certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ
- Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments and using Jira for sprint and support tracking
