About the Role

The Salesforce Technical Lead will play a central role in overseeing and enhancing a skilled Salesforce development team. This position involves managing workloads, mentoring team members, and ensuring all efforts align with organizational objectives. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Applications, the role also involves coordinating with partners on external contractor resources and contributing directly to technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Supervise team performance, allocate tasks effectively, and support career growth for development team members.
  • Resource Coordination: Manage contractor resources in collaboration with partners, including rate and timesheet oversight.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to identify needs and deliver Salesforce solutions. Provide guidance on platform capabilities and limitations.
  • Solution Development: Focus approximately 70% of time on designing and implementing Salesforce solutions, addressing technical challenges, and ensuring best practices.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address complex technical issues, such as Apex and Flow exceptions, ensuring sustainable solutions.
  • Standards and Best Practices: Define and uphold development standards and consistent processes across all projects.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track productivity, quality, and project timelines, reporting results to leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Introduce and implement innovative solutions and process enhancements to align with business goals.

Required Experience

  • At least 7 years of Salesforce development or technical experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in managing development teams, focusing on workload and professional growth.
  • Expertise in handling customized Salesforce environments, including Apex, Flows, and managed packages.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency with Salesforce declarative tools and Apex development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce best practices, data models, and integration patterns.
  • Advanced troubleshooting abilities for customized environments.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Skilled in conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective at building trust and collaboration across teams and departments.

Leadership Attributes

  • Experience mentoring teams, maintaining high standards, and fostering consistency across projects.
  • A proactive approach to addressing challenges and introducing improvements.

Certifications

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder and Platform Developer I required. Platform Developer II preferred.
  • Certifications in DevOps or CI/CD (e.g., Copado Certified DevOps Engineer) are advantageous.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Agile methodologies, and Gen AI technologies.
  • Familiarity with Copado is a plus.
