About the Role
The Salesforce Platform Developer will spearhead the technical delivery and strategic evolution of the bank’s Salesforce environment. Working closely with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders, this role ensures smooth execution of development projects and continuous platform improvements. This position requires hands-on expertise in Salesforce development, project management, and collaboration to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, test, document, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions, including Apex code, Lightning components, Visualforce pages, workflows, validation rules, and approval processes.
- Collaborate with teams to define and deliver Salesforce reporting and analytics.
- Manage deployments and upgrades to Salesforce production environments.
- Administer Salesforce user access, security roles, permissions, and configuration settings.
- Maintain data integrity through data loading, cleansing, and transfers.
- Participate in gathering and analyzing business requirements for system enhancements.
- Provide user support, troubleshoot issues, and escalate where necessary.
- Assist in managing Salesforce release cycles and critical upgrades.
- Work closely with IT, business owners, and transformation teams to communicate project progress and deliverables.
- Follow change management protocols using tools such as ServiceNow and JIRA.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes and recommend Salesforce-based solutions for scalability and efficiency.
Required Skills
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, triggers, and batch Apex.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using SOAP, REST, BULK, and Streaming APIs.
- Familiarity with declarative Salesforce tools such as Process Builder, Flows, Lightning App Builder, and Workflow Rules.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, database concepts, and SDLC.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, and AppExchange apps.
- Experience with data management tools like Data Loader.
- Agile development experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively between technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder, or Platform Administrator certifications.
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and nCino platform.
- MuleSoft integration knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in source control and release management.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems with innovative solutions.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
