About the Role

BD is seeking a skilled Sr. Software Engineering Manager to lead Salesforce development teams within the healthcare space. The successful candidate will guide a team of engineers focused on leveraging Salesforce solutions to enhance business performance, customer experiences, and operational excellence. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to lead global transformation efforts within Salesforce platforms such as Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Health Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Salesforce solutions across multiple platforms including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Health Clouds.
  • Oversee Salesforce multi-org consolidation and standardization efforts to ensure seamless integrations and data integrity.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, focusing on developing scalable, efficient, and secure solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, to ensure Salesforce solutions align with company objectives and drive business growth.
  • Manage Salesforce-related projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of solutions that meet business needs.
  • Lead the integration of Salesforce with external platforms, including ERP systems like NetSuite and SAP, using middleware such as MuleSoft or Celigo.
  • Provide operational support, ensuring Salesforce platform performance and managing issues such as system downtime, integrations, and feature enhancements.
  • Establish best practices and guidelines for Salesforce development, configuration, and security to maintain a high standard of code quality and system performance.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the health of the Salesforce platform, addressing technical debt and optimizing performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Salesforce, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Cloud technologies including Service Cloud, Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
  • Proven experience in leading Salesforce integrations with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle using tools like MuleSoft, Celigo, or Boomi.
  • Expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like GitHub, Jenkins, or Copado.
  • In-depth knowledge of data migration, ETL processes, and large data volume handling within Salesforce.
  • Salesforce Application and System Architect certifications are required.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry and understanding of HIPAA/HITECH regulations is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A track record of successfully leading global teams and projects within a fast-paced environment.
