About the Role

BigCommerce is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join the Business Applications team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role will involve designing, developing, and implementing custom Salesforce solutions to meet business needs and enhance CRM performance. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform and a proven track record in designing scalable solutions. This is an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and optimize Salesforce systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized Salesforce solutions to support business objectives and enhance key functions.
  • Use technologies like Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components to create scalable applications.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems, ensuring smooth data exchange.
  • Maintain and develop APIs (SOAP and REST) to streamline system integrations.
  • Lead technical aspects of Salesforce projects, guiding and mentoring junior team members.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality development practices.
  • Troubleshoot and address system performance issues while suggesting enhancements.
  • Stay current with Salesforce updates and propose relevant system improvements.
  • Document development processes, system configurations, and integration guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional Salesforce Development experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce products, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.
  • Salesforce certification (Administrator, Platform Developer, or other relevant credentials).
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for quick issue resolution.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in collaborative team environments with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of code promotion, version control, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Familiarity with Sales Cloud, including Lead & Opportunity Management, Account & Contact Management, and Sales Process Automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Communities, Case Management, Omni-Channel Routing, Service Console, and Knowledge Base.
  • Expertise in Products, Price Books, Quotes, and CPQ, with a focus on Forecasting, Sales Agreements, and Territory Management.
  • Experience with Salesforce Community and Knowledge modules.
  • Familiarity with Impartner or Marketo.
