About the Role

Classy seeks a hands-on Senior Solutions Architect responsible for designing, validating, and implementing scalable technical solutions. The role bridges pre-sales and post-sales activities, collaborating closely with technical stakeholders to ensure smooth Salesforce integration, effective use of Classy’s products, and risk mitigation during implementations.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Technical Advisory

  • Guide Solution Engineers in technical discovery and feasibility assessments.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts to validate solutions before full implementation.
  • Provide clear technical recommendations addressing constraints and scalability.
  • Facilitate sales processes by removing technical obstacles.
  • Design and scope effective solutions for proposals and statements of work.

Solution Design & Technical Execution

  • Ensure customer Salesforce integrations follow best practices for configuration and performance.
  • Lead architecture discussions aligning Classy’s integration with customer objectives.
  • Oversee technical designs for the Classy product suite, ensuring feasibility and scalability.
  • Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications.
  • Develop reusable solution patterns for common scenarios (memberships, premiums, giving cart).

Customer Engagement & Implementation Oversight

  • Act as primary technical expert throughout customer implementation.
  • Provide strategic advice to customer teams and ensure solution adherence to best practices.
  • Identify potential risks in solution adoption and launch.
  • Assist implementation teams with complex integration and optimization challenges.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Create and maintain Salesforce-specific frameworks and reusable components.
  • Provide technical feedback to enhance internal processes.
  • Stay updated on Salesforce, SaaS ecosystems, API integrations, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years consulting or professional services experience in solution design.
  • 4+ years as a certified Salesforce administrator, designing large-scale integrations.
  • 4+ years experience in Salesforce implementation, including NPSP, Nonprofit Cloud, flows, and security.
  • Expertise in REST APIs, JavaScript, middleware implementations.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior communication, client management, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and manage technical complexities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with payment processing platforms.
  • Familiarity with Zapier, Omatic, Microsoft Dynamics, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Blackbaud.
  • Background in nonprofit fundraising technology.
