About the Company

Kinship is the leading charity in England and Wales supporting kinship carers—relatives or close family friends who take on the care of children when their parents cannot. The organization is focused on delivering support and advocating for meaningful change in the lives of kinship families.

About the Role

This position supports the day-to-day use of Salesforce by around 80 team members. The Junior Salesforce Administrator works closely with the Database Manager and the wider data team to maintain system efficiency, deliver user support, and contribute to ongoing projects and audits. The role includes a mix of user training, platform maintenance, data integrity checks, and minor customizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal support queries, diagnose issues, gather details, and escalate where appropriate
  • Monitor automated processes and resolve or escalate issues as needed
  • Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Build reports and dashboards to support internal teams
  • Update and maintain system elements such as fields, page layouts, list views, and users
  • Assist in user onboarding and provide training sessions and materials
  • Support testing for new releases and custom features
  • Create documentation for technical processes and system functionality
  • Build and connect forms using Form Assembly
  • Assist with reporting needs, including data submissions for funders and local authorities
  • Contribute insights from data to support programme development and impact

Essential Requirements 

  • Experience in Salesforce administration, including use of the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM201)
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality data for measuring service outcomes
  • Understanding of GDPR and handling confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical topics simply
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at various levels

Desirable Experience

  • Firsthand experience with kinship care
  • Experience working with customized Salesforce environments
  • Proficient in Excel, including use of VLOOKUP
  • Familiarity with configuration elements like Profiles, Sharing Rules, Flows, and Validation Rules
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to solving problems
